The role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced insurance professional to join the busy and friendly Insurance Team providing a customer-focused service across Richmond and Wandsworth Councils.

Reporting to the Insurance Manager you will be responsible primarily for ensuring expeditious and effective claims handling whilst also supporting the Insurance Manager and Deputy Manager with ad hoc risk and insurance work and advice across the two boroughs as required.

Team work excellent organisational and time management skills are key to meeting the expectations of service departments. With a strong insurance background, preferably within a similar organisation, a sound understanding of insurance regulation, case law and principles and how these are applied within a local government setting is essential.
