The role

We are looking to appoint a full-time specialist Housing OT to join our busy Home Improvement Agency (HIA). The post holder will be responsible for providing advice and support on matters relating to housing needs assessment and disabled adaptations to services across the housing department.

This is a new post which is based in the HIA Team, and will lead on the development of services such as Trusted Assessors to broaden the range of options available for meeting the needs of residents with a disability. You will have staff management experience and will be responsible for responsible for managing both trusted assessors and junior surveyors.

This is a varied role and the post-holder will need to be able to balance a range of responsibilities such as advising on complex cases, overseeing major void projects where properties are adapted to meet the specific needs of individuals and providing specialist advice to officers allocating social housing to applicants with a disability.
