Do you want to join us in ensuring that our year as The Mayor of London’s London Borough of Culture 2025 leaves a lasting legacy on Wandsworth’s creative sector?

We are so excited that Wandsworth has been chosen to be London Borough of Culture 2025. We are planning an inspirational year of culture where every corner of Wandsworth comes alive in an explosion of creativity.

By sharing experiences and connecting, we believe culture has the power to make us all feel better. We want to start a movement across the Capital where everyone recognises that culture has the power to heal - a place where better health outcomes are achieved through the healing, inspirational power of culture and the arts.

You can expect large scale dance events, a mass choral spectacular and a disability arts festival showcasing great artists from the borough, amongst many other things. But equally important is that we ensure that London Borough of Culture 2025 boosts our creative sector - creating more, better paid and environmentally sustainable employment opportunities that are accessible to all.

About the role

We are seeking a Programme and Partnership Manager to lead on the Economic Growth and the Climate Emergency and Sustainability goals outlined in Wandsworth’s Arts and Culture Strategy 2021-2031 and to ensure that these goals are embedded, championed, and delivered in our London Borough of Culture programme.

Your work will include: managing creative projects that support of creative industries over our London Borough of Culture year; leading on developing structured pathways that identify and nurture creative talent into the cultural and creative industries; collaboratively seeking ways to ensure that both the council and our creative partners reduce our carbon footprint and proactively tackle the climate emergency.

You will be part of a proactive and award-winning Arts and Culture Service, within a borough that prides itself on delivering a wide range of creative opportunities for everyone living, working and visiting the borough. For more details on the work already happening in the borough visit Wandsworth Council’s Arts section, Wandsworth Arts Fringe and Wandsworth Art.

  • Experience of leading on projects that involve a diverse set of partners in both its development and delivery.
  • Strong track record of coordinating the ongoing assessment, monitoring and evaluation of projects against performance targets and establishing/maintaining an agile response to those findings.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills (project management qualification is not required but experience is essential). Direct experience of managing projects with budgets of £50K+, accounting for expenditure and working through existing systems to report spend and anticipating commitments. Knowledge of key issues relating to project delivery, including procuring, commissioning, contracting and partnership management.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, contexts and deadlines.
  • Strong communications skills, particularly in partnership working with other organisations.
