The role

Apply to be an Independent Audit Committee Member ensuring public confidence in the Council’s audit and corporate governance arrangements

We are looking for an independent Audit Committee Member to assist in providing review of the Council's governance, risk management, control frameworks and financial reporting processes at Wandsworth Borough Council.

Successful candidates will demonstrate high ethical standards, willingness to participate in meetings, ability to take independent, unbiased and objective views based on evidence and complex documentation.  Experience of financial management would be helpful as would an understanding of corporate governance and of working in a complex organisation. Please note this is a fixed term contract until May 2026.
