Your investigations may lead to service of enforcement notices, prosecution proceedings, action in default and defending your enforcement decisions at appeal.

Strong communication skills will be essential in order to negotiate resolutions to planning breaches and manage the concerns of affected residents. You will have a planning or related degree and be able to draft detailed planning reports assessing breaches against relevant planning policies and guidance.
