LEARNING SUPPORT OPPORTUNITY FOR GRADUATE/NON-GRADUATE IN SW LONDON

Ernest Bevin College, whose students are aged between 11-19, is a vibrant and a truly inclusive all boys college with a mixed sixth form.  Based in Tooting, South West London, our college takes pride in having an exceptional level of pastoral care where all staff are dedicated to giving each and every student both a quality learning experience and the life skills that opens doors to any career path they wish to tread in the future.

Our students, governors and staff are now seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed graduate/ non-graduate to work as a Learning Support Assistant focusing on students with EAL.

We will offer you the support you need to progress in your career and many of our LSAs go on to embark on QTS training and become qualified teachers.

This is a hugely rewarding opportunity will involve the following:

  • Under the direction of literacy lead, baseline and monitor progress of students on EAL caseload
  • Support EAL students in and out of classrooms, in partnership with the class teacher, the SENCO and the English team. 

We feel fortunate that the college is based in a diverse, vibrant and social community which has an excellent variety of transport links and this makes us easily accessible.  Staff also benefit from our onsite facilities such as a swimming pool and fitness studio which can be used outside of the college day.
